iLumen was recently nominated for the finals of the Flanders Cleantech Internationalisation Awards 2016, organised by FCA and FIT. In the category ‘Energy’ our company was chosen as one of three finalists. Project Manager Ismaël Ben-Al-Lal proposed the iLumen candidacy in a short video.
“iLumen is a Belgian engineering company with an own R&D department”, Project Manager Ismaël Ben-Al-Lal explains. “The company has evolved during the years into a large team of specialists and experts in the solar industry.”
“iLumen developed the PIDbox. The installation of this device results in an optimal performance of solar systems by increasing their efficiency and extending their lifetime.”
“What makes the PIDbox of iLumen unique, is the fact that it is the only solution in the market that works independently of the inverter. In contrast to alternatives in the market, the patented PIDbox will never void inverter warranty.”
“PIDbox technology is proven since 2012 and has an installed capacity > 550 MW spread over 36 countries. PIDbox solutions are available for the consumer market and the industrial market. ”
15 million households
In which sense the PIDbox has an international sustainable impact? “The energy consumption of the device is less than 1% of its energy savings while its ecological footprint equals zero after only three months!”
“Research by Thomas More Hogeschool (association KU Leuven) proves that on average, the PIDbox increases the efficiency of solar panels by 7%. If all worldwide solar systems would be provided by a PIDbox, the energy savings would be equivalent with the electricity consumption of 15 million of households!”
“Can you imagine the impact of these energy savings on our environment?”
The winner of the Flanders Cleantech Internationalisation Awards will be announced on Sunday October, 16 in Hilton Hotel Antwerp.
