Large-scale research point to solar power as energy source of the futureIlumen
During the summer months Edelman Intelligence organized a large-scale survey on renewable energy at the request of the Danish energy company Ørsted. No fewer than 26,401 respondents from 13 different countries participated. Recently, the results were presented in the form of the ‘Green Energy Barometer’.
The report shows that no less than 82% of the participants worldwide opt for a society that is fully supplied by renewable energy.
Another striking conclusion is that solar energy is regarded as the most promising energy source for the future. Exactly 80% of the respondents thinks that his/her country should invest more in solar power. Ten percent thinks that the current supply on the roofs is exactly sufficient, while only 4% of the participants does not believe in solar energy. Wind energy is the second most popular source of energy for the future after solar power.
